At Fast-Pets Travel, Inc., our goal is peace of mind and convenience for a safe, prompt, and comfortable journey for your pet. We are registered with the USDA as an Intermediate Handler (64-H-0007/948). We comply with all rules and regulations of the Animal Welfare Act, which is a federal law protecting animals in transport as it applies to animal air travel.
Weather Restrictions:
Pets are not permitted to travel as checked baggage between the dates of May 1 and October 30 to or from the following locations: Bahamas, Bermuda, Curacao, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Puerto Rico, St. Maarten, Turks and Caicos, United States (Ft. Lauderdale, Ft. Myers, Las Vegas, Miami, Orlando, Palm Springs, Phoenix and Tampa Bay)WestJet Pet Policy: CargoPets Allowed: most all domesticated pets.Reservations: must be booked in advance and approved by Pet Express. Only one cargo pet is allowed per flight. All weekend transports must be on direct flights. Pet Express will not hold a pet overnight in any of its facilities.Check-In: minimum of two hours in advanceCrate Requirements: Click here for crate requirements. Maximum weight is 160 lbs. (72.5kg). Carrier Requirements
If your dog, cat, bird or rabbit meets the requirements listed in Pet Express pet policy to travel in-cabin, you will need a compliant airline pet carrier. Maximum carrier dimensions: 16 in. L x 17.5 in. W x 8.5 in. H (40 cm x 44 cm x 21.5 cm) (height can be adjusted with soft sided carrier). Carrier must be secure with a waterproof bottom and adequate ventillation. Pet's head may not extend from carrier.Combined weight of pet and carrier cannot exceed 22 lbs. (10kg). Hardsided carriers are not permitted.Forms Required: Proof of rabies vaccination at least 30 days prior to flight (international flights)
Pet Travel
If your dog or cat meets the requirements listed in Pet Express pet policy to travel in-cabin, you will need an approved airline pet carrier. Restrictions: No animals are allowed to travel in the cabin to the following destinations: Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Cayman Islands, Hawaii, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, and St.
Lucia.Reservations: You must notify WestJet Airlines that you are flying with a dog or cat. Reservations cannot be made online. There are only 4 pets permitted in the cabin per flight and one pet per passenger.
